{"id":202,"date":"2023-06-07T14:23:07","date_gmt":"2023-06-07T12:23:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/aepl.uu\/?page_id=202"},"modified":"2023-06-20T10:06:15","modified_gmt":"2023-06-20T08:06:15","slug":"europe-de-la-defense","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/aepl.eu\/en\/themes\/europe-de-la-defense\/","title":{"rendered":"European defence"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Objectives:<\/h3>\n<p>- The\u00a0<b class=\"\">Maintaining peace in Europe and restoring peace in its neighbourhood is a good reflection of the ethical demands that AEPL expresses in its contacts with the Commission.<\/b><br \/>\n- The measurement of\u00a0<b class=\"\">geopolitical influence<\/b> of Europe, which aims to impose its ethical, humanist, universalist and progressive values as widely as possible: <b class=\"\">Europe stands out among the powers for its efforts to promote universal peace.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3>How we work<\/h3>\n<p><b class=\"\">The WGED carries out daily monitoring<\/b> defence and defence industry issues. In particular, the GTED monitors the application of current legislation relating to <b class=\"\">the <\/b>defence and the defence industry<b class=\"\"> <\/b>and monitors <b class=\"\">the European Commission's legislative proposals on <\/b>and defence industry.<\/p>\n<p>Through AEPL, the GTED aims to make an active contribution to the development of European defence policy, by drafting <strong>summary documents<\/strong><b class=\"\">\u00a0and letters<\/b> to the President of the Commission, the High Representative and the European Commissioners involved in defence issues and the defence industry.<\/p>\n<p>These documents will be made public and available on the AEPL website.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the WGED will be talking to <b class=\"\">officials from the European External Action Service and DG CONNECT<\/b> of the Commission in charge of defence and defence industry issues in order to present and discuss AEPL's position.
